The setup wizard, step by step
A detailed walkthrough of the three onboarding steps — business profile, knowledge import, and channel connection — with validation and live status.
How the wizard works
The wizard is a guided, three-step flow. Each step validates as you go, the status rail shows what’s actually done, and your progress is saved server-side — a refresh or a new device lands you on the same step.
| Step | What it does | When it’s complete |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Business | Your profile, offer, and pricing policy | Offer, bot name, and pricing policy are set |
| 2 · Knowledge | Import documents or pick a starter pack | At least one document is indexed |
| 3 · Channel | Connect the widget, Telegram, or WhatsApp | Optional — the widget always works |
Business step
Enter what your business offers and how your bot should sound. The pricing policy you type here is used verbatim by the bot — and by the starter packs if you use one. The Save button stays disabled until the required fields are real.
Knowledge step
Three ways to teach your bot:
- Starter packs — pre-written pricing, policies, and FAQ templates for boutique, clinic, salon, food, events, and consultancy businesses. One click builds three documents personalized from your profile.
- Upload — PDF, Word, or plain text up to 20MB. Documents are chunked and embedded automatically.
- Paste — quick text like a refund policy or price list.
As documents land, the indexed count updates live. “Analyze my knowledge” runs the AI gap analysis: it reads your knowledge and business profile, proposes likely customer questions with answers, and drops them into the Gaps panel for one-click approval. Continue unlocks the moment the first document is indexed.
Channel step
Connect a channel to meet customers where they already are. The widget is a hosted chat page you can link or embed anywhere. Telegram and WhatsApp each have their own connection flow. The step polls the live channel status, so the moment a bot connects the wizard flips to “Connected ✓” without a refresh.
This step is optional and can be skipped honestly: the widget works on every plan immediately, so skipping the channel never blocks the bot. You can connect channels later in Settings.
Launch
“Launch dashboard” finishes setup: your dashboard opens to a clean overview (the “Finish setting up” banner disappears only after you consciously finish), and your decided state — including skipped steps — is remembered if you ever return to the wizard.
